Asset Management

The real estate assets of industrial companies, traditionally considered as a scarcely dynamic element and a mere cost centre,  can instead represent a source capable of generating resources to be invested in the core business.

FGREAsset Managementhas the objective of analyzing the current and potential characteristics of the Group properties in order to develop strategies capable of ensuring the optimization of local needs of the Companies, while at the same time generating economic-financial resources to be used for industrial activity. 

Coherent with these objectives, the FGRE Asset Management team combines multidisciplinary expertise that permits classifying Group real estate assets on the basis of homogeneous parameters and defined drivers (strategic and operational aspects, size and values, management costs, density and overcrowding, residual construction potential, etc.) and pursuing the optimization areas identified according to two distinct approaches:

  • traditional or “asset by asset”with activity aimed at valorizing and streamlining a single asset/ industrial compendium
  • structured that allows the identification of homogeneous property clusters to be valorized in specific company structures or other tools mortgaged by real estate financing.

In this context, the Sistema Informativo Real Estate (S.I.R.E.)/Real Estate Information System, developed together with Elsag Datamat has been very effective. The system rationalizes and standardizes Finmeccanica Group real estate information, allowing a uniform and precise picture of asset data.
