A quality system open to confrontation 

Finmeccanica is aware that the excellence of people and their performance passes even through continuous attention to quality processes and methodologies used to manage them and it has requested and received by the International Organization Globe Certification the Quality Certification UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 for the processes of “Planning, Allocation and Project Management Education and Human Resource Development”. 

Moreover, on these topics Finmeccanica makes a comparison within an international panel made up of 1.800 companies based in Europe and USA. Benchmarking shows its position in relation to a set of indicators (Learning and Development KPI), internationally recognized and analyzes the performance of the Group particularly in relation to a shortlist of industrial players comparable to it for activity sector, size of staff and geographical distribution. 

Global Knowledge Network: Finmeccanica and the academic world 

In a world where knowledge represents more and more the real critical factor for success and in which there is an increasing acceleration of the opportunities offered by technological change, Finmeccanica has chosen to compare with a global network consisting of Universities, Research Centers and Authorities. 

At international level the relationships activated with universities and departments are excellent and ensure high scientific quality in different disciplines and makes Finmeccanica an organization able to identify and integrate the contribution of knowledge and experiential of different actors. 

The network of actors is rich and complex. To date there are 415 relationships with 110 Universities, including 50 in Italy and 60 abroad. Of the 415 relationships, 319 relate to Italian Universities (77%) and 96 foreign Universities (23%). 

The future goal is to continue to open more strategically the business boundaries, to expand the know-how and stay constantly on the frontier of innovation.
