Finmeccanica wins high-speed trains contract

Finmeccanica, through its subsidiary AnsaldoBreda, has been awarded the high-speed trains contract. The Board of Directors of Italian rail operator Trenitalia today awarded the contract to supply 50 highspeed trains worth EUR 1.540 billion to the consortium comprising AnsaldoBreda, a Finmeccanica company, and Canadian company Bombardier Inc.. AnsaldoBreda, which has a 60% stake in the consortium, will have a share of the contract worth around EUR 900 million.
