Mine Hunter Mission System (MHMS)

A Naval Mission System (MS) is a complementary approach with respect to a large, full integrated Combat Management System. A MS is for few operators (from 1 up to 9) and/or with a “light” level of integration and can be the right system for small or specialized ships, like mine hunter vessels. Elsag Datamat solution provides a comprehensive framework encompassing HW and SW.

The main capabilities of the Mission System will be the followings:

• Data acquisition and processing from Navigation and Communication Systems and Surveillance sensors
• Data and information exchange with other MCM Vessels 
• Mine Counter Measure (MCM) mission management and control during the planning, execution and exploitation phase 
• Integration and Control of all the activities involved in Mine Countermeasure operations 
• Control of the subsystems from MS Multi Functional Consoles (MFCs) 
• This MS is derived from the Elsag Datamat MCM MS in service on board of the Lerici class Italian MCMVs.
