The articulated version of the Avancity keeps the basic characteristics of this family of vehicles, such as independent suspension, disc brakes on all axles, and a new driver's cabin, designed according to ISO-VDV ergonomic standards, which provides a high level of comfort, visibility and safety. 

The Avancity S has one of the most modern engines available, the MAN D 20, with displacement of 10.5 litres, which uses the EGR-PMKat system to cut down exhaust emissions. No fuel additives are required and this simplifies operation on the suburban and extra-urban routes for which these buses are designed. 

The spacious interior and the panoramic windows make this vehicle extremely comfortable for passengers. At the same time, the transmission system includes traction on the third axle, known as "vehicle push", which helps to keep running costs down.
