What is the proper role of a company in society? Over the years this question has been the subject of intense debate between people whose ideas are often widely divergent. Here at Finmeccanica we believe that an organisation has a duty to contribute to the wellbeing of the community that houses it, and with which it interacts continuously,

For this reason we set aside part of our resources to help the community, whether it be the local community near our sites or communities in which we are not directly present and may appear far outside our interests.

Our commitment in this field mainly takes the form of investments in projects with collective aims, such as protecting the artistic and cultural heritage and supporting organisations and initiatives dealing with national or global emergencies.

Interventions and aims that combine well with the longstanding company culture that we are trying our best to transmit, so that past experience can help face future challenges, for Finmeccanica in particular but also for Italian industry in general.
