In the annual publication that unites 15% of the companies with the best results in terms of sustainability, the sustainability rating company Sustainable Asset Management of Zurich (SAM) has put Finmeccanica into the “Gold Class” for the Aerospace sector, and has indicated it as a “Sector Mover”.

Within each activity sector the “Gold Class” award is assigned to companies whose score differs from that of the “sector leader” by not more than 5%, whereas the categories “Silver Class” and “Bronze Class” are for companies with lower scores. In the case of A&D, Finmeccanica achieved an overall score of 75/100, as compared with the sector leader, Rolls-Royce, with 78/100.

Thanks to the increase in score recorded between 2009 (64/100) and 2010 (75/100) – the highest in the Aerospace sector – SAM has also awarded Finmeccanica the title of “Sector Mover”.

After being admitted to the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes World and Europe, the commitment and efforts of the Finmeccanica Group in the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainability have received additional, significant recognition.
