France, Toulouse-based regional aircraft manufacturer ATR is the world leader
in the 50 to 70-seat turboprop market. Its ATR 42 and ATR 72 are the perfect
solution on short-haul routes around the world. With its latest variant, the
-500 series, ATR supplies state-of-the-art aircraft with the highest comfort

ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica group)
and EADS. Alenia Aeronautica's manufacturing facilities in Pomigliano near
Naples, (Italy), produce the aircraft fuselage and tail sections. Aircraft
wings are assembled at EADS Sogerma Services in Bordeaux for Airbus France.
Final assembly, flight-testing, certification and deliveries are under the
responsibility of ATR. ATR has three marketing and customer support centres
(Toulouse, Washington, Singapour), two training centres (Toulouse, Bangkok)
and an office in Beijing.
In 2005, ATR posted firm orders for 90 new aircraft + 26 options from 11
customers worldwide. The best year ever since 1989. This commercial success is
evidence of the strong resurgence of the turboprop aircraft in the regional
aviation market.
ATR portfolio is now composed of 121 operators in more than 70 countries. In
2005, ATR posted a turnover of $542 million, an increase of 15% compared to
2004.
ATR is certified ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q 9001:2000 and EN/AS/JISQ 9100, the worldwide
quality standard in the field of aeronautics.
