The APS based Autonomous Star Tracker (AA-STR) is a medium field of view (FOV) star tracker conceived as a single case sensor with the boresight orthogonal to the mounting plane and based on a radiation ardened design. AA-STR is capable to ensure robust and accurate three axis attitude determination in a highly compact and light star tracker, providing accuracy comparable with those achievable with CCD star trackers.
