The Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) is a ESA programme dedicated to measuring the Earth's gravity field and modelling the geoid with extremely high accuracy and spatial resolution. Thales Alenia Space is prime contractor for the construction, testing and in-orbit verification of the GOCE satellite.
It is scheduled for launch in 2006.
