Rosetta is a probe designed to reach and study the nucleus of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko during one of its periodic visits to the inner Solar System.
 
Thales Alenia Space was responsible for building the satellite?s special digital S- and X-band transponder that is vital for the link between the probe and Earth and was main contractor for the integration and testing.
