Telespazio, a joint venture between Finmeccanica (67%) and Thales (33%), is
among the chief world operators in the management of satellites and in services
involving earth observation, satellite navigation, integrated networks for
multimedia telecommunications, integrated connectivity and added value.
Telespazio is in the avant garde in reference markets by exploiting to the
maximum its technological skills, its infrastructure, and its participation in
important international space programs: Galileo, Egnos, Gmes and
Cosmo-SkyMed.
Telespazio, whose main office is in Rome, has about 1,400 employees, a
network of four space centres and 22 sites located throughout the
world. The Telespazio Space Centre in Fucino, with more than 90
operational antennas, is the largest teleport in the world for civilian
use. A fleet of mobile units active in Italy and abroad guarantees
constant assistance to customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Telespazio is also active in France, through Telespazio France and in
Germany through Telespazio Deutschland.
