Rome, 22-23 November 2006 EVERYWHERE IN THE FUTURE - Innovation at the heart of strategy. Consistent with the new vision of MindSh@re, the "Unconventional Engine
for Value Innovation", the traditional annual meeting of all participants
in the project took place recently. This year for the first time the meeting
was attended by representatives from institutional bodies, research centres and
universities, in addition to personnel from the Finmeccanica Group.
The 2006 edition was hosted by the "Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa"
(Centre for Advanced Defence Studies) at the prestigious Palazzo Salviati in
Rome (Piazza della Rovere 83), and the number of participants exceeded
expectations:
| Type of affiliation | No. of participants |
| Outside companies | 97 |
| Finmeccanica Group companies | 428 |
| Institutional bodies | 8 |
| Academic / CNR agencies | 60 |
| Military organisations | 52 |
| Industrial associations | 4 |
| | |
| Total | 649 |
The annual meeting represents a fundamental aspect of the plan drawn up by
Finmeccanica in 2003. This year's edition was an important link with what
Finmeccanica had already announced at Farnborough 2006 on the subject of
innovation.
The aim of the MindSh@reŠ Event 2006 is to be a tangible sign of Finmeccanica's
vision: EVERYWHERE IN THE FUTURE, in line with the objective of creating a
culture of intelligence capable of giving value to innovation, and representing
the driver of a collaboration network that involves and inter-connects the
MindSh@reŠ Communities, the companies in the Group, as well as customers,
partners, research centres and universities.
The event represented an important occasion to provide visibility inside and
outside the Group of what has been achieved so far through the activities of
the MindSh@reŠ Communities relating to building up Finmeccanica's strategic
positioning on the international scenario of innovation management.
