Mayor of Rome meets 28 internes from Finmeccanica Group | |
Rome, 3 April 2007
This afternoon, the Mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni welcomed 28 young people
from fifteen different countries, currently doing internships with companies in
the Finmeccanica Group.
The meeting took place in the City Hall at the Campidoglio, and participants
included the councillor for universities, Jean Leonard Touadi, and the
president-CEO of Finmeccanica, Pier Francesco Guarguaglini.
"It is important for the city to attract the enthusiasm and talent of
young people from all over the world," said Walter Veltroni. "Rome is a
rather special city which has always welcomed people of different
nationalities, cultures and traditions. It is home to a large foreign
community, and has a rich and varied cultural life, looking to the future. For
all these reasons, I feel sure you will find that the city is a good place to
be - especially for young people like you."
