AgustaWestland wins contracts worth more than EUR 130 million

AgustaWestland, has won contracts worth more than EUR 130 million at Heli-Expo 2010 (HAI) exhibition held in Houston, USA, from February 21st to 23rd.

Elsag Datamat, automatic license plate recognition systems and technologies for security in Greece

Elsag Datamat has signed a contract with the Greek Police, for an initial amount of approximately €3 million, for the supply of systems for automatic license plate recognition systems and biometric identification of people. Once again, the company was rewarded for its competence and the technological excellence of its systems for law enforcement, now used throughout the world.

Finmeccanica wins contracts worth more than EUR 100 million

Finmeccanica has won contracts with a total value in excess of EUR 100 million through its companies Ansaldo Energia, SELEX Galileo and DRS Technologies. Specifically, Ansaldo Energia has won a contract worth more than EUR 60 million with ISAB Energy (ERG Group) to supply an AE 94.2 K gas turbine and a generator for the Priolo power plant in Sicily, as well as providing maintenance services for a period of approximately nine years as part of a longterm service agreement.

Finmeccanica reaches the amount of $100 million in U.S. military orders

Finmeccanica, through his company DRS Technologies, Inc., have reached $100 million in U.S. military orders for infrared Driver's Vision Enhancers (DVEs). The delivery orders have been placed against a September 2009 contract awarded by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, NJ - a DVE Family of Systems (FOS) contract covering orders from the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Special Operations Command.

Launched last November, the Proba 2 satellite has begun to successfully transmit the first data of its mission to observe the Sun. Onboard the satellite, the innovative products of SELEX Galileo: the new concept AA-STR star tracker and the prototype of a new "concentration-type" solar panel. 

Finmeccanica won orders for approximately EUR 300 million

Finmeccanica has won tree orders for a combined value of approximately EUR 300 million through his companies Ansaldo STS, SELEX Sistemi Integrati and DRS Technologies. In particular, Ansaldo STS (STS.MI) has won the contract worth approximately EUR 180 million to operate and maintain Copenhagen's driverless metro system. 

Finmeccanica to supply naval systems to the United Arab Emirates navy

Finmeccanica has been awarded a contract to supply naval systems to be fitted onto the two new stealth patrol vessels known as "Falaj 2", which have been ordered to Fincantieri by the United Arab Emirates navy.
Specifically, SELEX Sistemi Integrati has been chosen to supply naval systems and to integrate the combat system. The agreement also includes an option for two further vessels of the same class. 

e-GEOS contribute to supply satellite data to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (US)

The team consisting of the US firm Lockheed Martin and the Italian company e-GEOS (Telespazio/ASI) has been awarded a contract worth up to USD 85 million by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide data, products and services from the COSMO-SkyMed satellites. The contract was signed in Denver (Colorado) and has a duration of five years. 

SELEX Sistemi Integrati: contract for three radars in Poland

SELEX Sistemi Integrati signed a contract worth around 5 million Euros with NATO agency NC3A (NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency) for the supply of three IFF (Identification Friend- or -Foe) secondary radar systems.
The radars, intended for the Polish Defence Ministry, will be integrated with three Air Defence Systems RAT 31DL, already sold by SELEX Sistemi Integrati to Poland and at the moment under installation.
