Paris Air Show 2005: a success to celebrate together!

Last sunday the 46th edizion of Paris Air Show, the leading international show for the aerospace industry, came to end.

There were eleven Group companies at the air show: Aermacchi, AgustaWestland, Alenia Aeronautica, Alenia Spazio, Elsag, Oto Melara, SELEX Sistemi Integrati, SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems, SELEX Communications, Telespazio and MBDA.

Finmeccanica increased consistently its presence at the event. In addition to its traditional stand, used to showcase its products and to promote its message, Finmeccanica, in this occasion, also had two chalets of 1,080 and 1,150 sqm, equipped with meeting rooms and offices for the managers of the Group and participating subsidiaries, as well as restaurants and bar.

Besides the daily updating offered by In.Portal and a by a dedicated website, Finmeccanica's presence at the event was reported, day by day, real time, with news, pictures and in-depth analysis through the satellite TV.

The heart of the event was represented by concert by the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Georges Prêtre at the Paris Opera Garnier, on the evening of 15 June, dedicated the fight against Cancer.

It is very hard to select and mention just few of the many guests visiting Finmeccanica Stand, chalets and Static Display: the Presidente of French Republic, Jacques Chirac, the President of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, Italian Deputy Premier, Giulio Tremonti, the President of Italian Senate, Marcello Pera, the Italian Ministries Claudio Scajola, Industrial Activities, and Pietro Lunardi, Trasports, and the Defence Ministers of UK and France, Lord Paul Drayson and Michele-Marie Alliot.
