Finmeccanica and its companies AgustaWestland, Alenia Aeronautica, SELEX
Communications and SELEX Sistemi Integrati participated in Aero India 2007, the
Asian exhibition devoted to global aerospace and aviation business activity.
The event was held at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore, the hub of
aerospace activity in India and home to the country's top IT companies and
scientific institutions.
The Finmeccanica companies presented a range of top-level products in the
field of defence systems.
Many Italian and international delegations visited the Finmeccanica stand,
including UK MoD with Mr. Alan Garwood, Head of Defence Export Services
Organisation, Afghanistan MoD with H.E Abdul Rashim Wardak, Defence Minister,
Algerian MoD with General Major Sanhadji Ahmed, Defence Secretary, German MoD
with Klaus von Sperber, Chief Armament & International Cooperation,
Japanese Air Force with Lt Gen Hisao Nagata and other representatives from
Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore.
