The International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2007, held from February 18-22 at
the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre, closed with a positive balance
for Finmeccanica. The Group was present with the following companies: Agusta
Westland, Alenia Aeronautica, Alenia Aermacchi, Elsag, Galileo Avionica, Oto
Melara, SELEX Communications, SELEX S&AS and SELEX Sistemi Integrati.
IDEX represents a major opportunity to display the significant results and
ongoing investments that Finmeccanica is making in the field of technologies
and avant-garde systems in the military and security sectors.
Many delegations from Italy and other countries visited the Group's stand,
including Senator Lorenzo Forcieri, Undersecretary for Defence, Major General
Gianni Botondi, the Italian Ambassador in Abu Dhabi, as well as several
international delegations and prestigious guests such as Lord Drayson, UK
Minister for Defence Procurement.
