The 2008 edition of Eurosatory is an important international exhibition for professionals in the defence and security sectors. According to the organisers, the previous edition was attended by 52,000 visitors, 117 official delegations from 75 countries, with 1,210 exhibitors.
 
Held every two years, the next edition will be taking place in Paris from June 16-20, 2008, with the ambitious slogan "Shaping Tomorrow's Defence". As proof of its importance, the previous edition had 634 accredited journalists from all over the world.
 
And Finmeccanica, of course, will be taking part in this international event in grand style (the three main display sectors are land, air-land and homeland) with the aim of highlighting its ability to offer a full range of defence and security solutions to meet the needs of international customers.
 
The Group companies taking part in Eurosatory are SELEX Comunications, SELEX GALILEO and Oto Melara. The latter will take the opportunity to present its turret HITFIST® 30mm OWS (Overhead Weapon Station) and its line of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV).
 
Finmeccanica's presence will stand out for the presentation of many products and systems ranging from 'net-centric' solutions such as sensors, UAVs and command and control systems, as well as integrated solutions for armoured vehicles such as turrets and communication systems.
