Node 2, developed in Italy by Thales Alenia Space, has departed successfully
for the International Space Station (ISS) from Kennedy Space Centre, Florida
(USA) on the 23rd of October. With a diameter of 4,6 metres, length of 7
metres, and weighing 14 tonnes at launch, the Node 2 will be used as a
passageway between the ISS and the European science laboratory Columbus (ESA)
which will be launched from Cape Canaveral next December. Thales Alenia Space - Nodo 2
