Global Service |  |
Within the context of Finmeccanica Group Services' Shared Services, a
significant role is assigned to the Global Service, understood as engineering
of a procedure for outsourcing the integrated management of all the non-core
activities within the limits of the Group's companies' production sites.
In particular, a potential area for this activity, a better description of
which will be defined together with each company, has been identified based on
successful experience:
- Maintenance general plants and buildings;
- Maintenance production plants;
- ICT infrastructure management (Pdl);
- Output & device management;
- Environmental hygiene and cleaning;
- Porterage;
- Management measurement laboratories.
SIMAV has been identified as the Finmeccanica Group's preferred partner: a
MoU has been signed with it which specifies the roles and responsibilities in
the partnership. In particular, SIMAV is responsible for carrying out, with
Finmeccanica Group Services and the companies concerned, a feasibility study -
not subject to payment - aimed at highlighting potential economic and
organizational advantages at company and Group level and preparatory to any
subsequent contractual implementation.
As things stand, 7 feasibility studies have already been carried out or are
in the process of being so, 4 of which have already been concluded and in 3
cases, they have made it possible to finalize the global service contract;
there are plans to implement another 4 during 2006.
With the cooperation and involvement of all the Finmeccanica company
technical, procurement and legal functions, a Group Master Service Agreement
has been drawn up in line with European guidelines; this contractual framework
has made it possible to define the main performance measurement indicators and
the required satisfaction levels (SLA and KPI), able to be customized by the
individual functions according to specific requirements.
