Group ICT |  |
Having entrusted the activities of running and managing the Corporate
Information Systems to Finmeccanica Group Services, Finmeccanica has recently
formalized the responsibility in regard to Group's ICT (Information &
Communication Technology) Governance.
The operating area of ICT Governance in the Finmeccanica Group relates to
so-called "managerial" IT, or to the design, development and management
(also in outsourcing) of the infrastructures and applications for the main
company processes, excluding that relating to product IT (real-time systems,
on-board and mission software, etc.) and to technical IT (engineering systems,
product design and development systems, etc.).
The model adopted by Finmeccanica Group Services for the IT governance is
based on the management of 4 operating levers:
- demand, or search for investment and expenditure synergies;
- supply, or rationalization of the purchases of goods and services in terms
of content and supply models;
- architecture, or rationalization of infrastructures and application
platforms;
- organization, or rationalization of the mix of responsibilities and
operational activities between Companies and service providers.
The ICT Professional Family, for which Finmeccanica Group Services is
responsible, constitutes a further important lever for growing know-how and ICT
skills within the context of the Group.
