The task of Finmeccanica Group Services S.p.A's Real Estate and Property Management Function is to manage and undertake the routine and non-routine maintenance of the properties for which it is responsible, with coordination of the related services carried out directly by Finmeccanica Group Services or via third-party companies to Finmeccanica S.p.A., to value and rationalize the real estate for which it is responsible, and to provide the associated consultancy and warehouse management activities.
 
Through its Real Estate and Property Management (REP) function, Finmeccanica Group Services S.p.A. operates on behalf of Finmeccanica S.p.A. and the Group's companies as Advisor and Program Manager in the area of Property Management and Real Estate Asset Management.
 
The REP Function initiates and supervises valuation and rationalization operations on the property in its portfolio by drawing up and developing integrated projects relating to new constructions and/or alterations, and carries out architectural inspections, financing it even through the sale of areas and property no longer used or in the process of being pulled down.
 
Furthermore, in its capacity as Advisor, the REP Function carries out Property Due Diligence activities aimed at monitoring the compliance standards of the buildings used (owned or rented), both from regulatory and functional points of view, through developing and maintaining databases for mapping the group's real estate.
Due Diligence is also carried out when there are new acquisitions and Joint Ventures.
 
The REP Function, in coordination with the ICT Function, is assigned to manage and build Finmeccanica S.p.A.'s representation bases abroad. The aim of the activity is to unite operational functionality requirements and high-ranking representation, executing architectural operations of a high technical quality and equipping each base with spearhead technologies.
 
The REP Function also operates in the Real Estate area, carrying out market research, monitoring the trend in the property market, managing the process of buying/selling properties, and managing Leases on behalf of the Group's companies. Finmeccanica Group Services S.p.A. coordinates the group's companies, being a "focal point" in the exchange of information on the availability of spaces and properties, and encouraging optimization of the use of buildings and a reduction in unused spaces.
 
The REP Function manages all the routine and non-routine maintenance operations on the buildings used directly by Finmeccanica S.p.A. and by Finmeccanica Group Services S.p.A. itself (Rome - Piazza Monte Grappa, Rome - Via Piemonte, Genoa and Milan bases).
 
With regard to the property owned by Finmeccanica S.p.A. and Finmeccanica Group Services S.p.A., rented out to the Group's Companies, the Function manages the non-routine maintenance activities.
