The mission of Finmeccanica Group Services is to contribute to the overall
improvement in the Group's performance.
This mission is based on supporting the achievement of the following
strategic objectives:
- generation of value by reducing running costs and rationalizing invested
capital
- improvement in service levels
- optimization of processes and improvement in efficiency
The main distinguishing elements of the Finmeccanica Group Services
activities, consistent with its own mission, are:
- priority focus on the non-"Business critical" activities and
processes of the Group's companies, chosen on the basis of significant
volume/synergy effects in terms of economic-financial impact
- geographical scope of the intervention consistent with the Group's
international development process (Italian and foreign bases and plants)
- compliance with the guidelines for improving the performances and industrial
competitiveness defined by Finmeccanica
- close coordination with the relevant Corporate companies and functions
The approach logics and skills found in Finmeccanica Group Services are
expressed in terms of:
- a capacity for analysis, design and support in the start-up of new Shared
Services by applying, case by case, the most straightforward
"Make-or-Buy" approach
- management and a capacity for integrated coordination of the Shared Services
already in existence and the new ones to be started up according to procedures
in line with the best market standards
- a collaborative process capable of encouraging the transfer and sharing of
"best practices" within the Group and the growth of "know-how"
and skills within the context of the processes directed
